Privacy Policy

Overview

Scheflo ("the App", "we", "us") is built on a simple principle: your data is yours. All your data is stored primarily on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. Scheflo does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data to our own servers.

Scheflo Pro subscribers may optionally enable iCloud Sync, which uses Apple's iCloud infrastructure to keep your data in sync across your Apple devices. When iCloud Sync is enabled, your data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. Scheflo does not have access to your iCloud data.

Information We Do Not Collect

Scheflo does not collect:

• Your name, email, or any account credentials (no account is required)
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Usage analytics or crash reports sent to our servers
• Calendar events, diary entries, or financial data
• Voice recordings or photos you attach to diary entries

Data Storage

The following is stored locally on your iPhone (and, if you enable iCloud Sync on Pro, also synced via Apple's iCloud):

• Calendar events — titles, dates, notes, recurrence rules
• Diary entries — text, mood, photos (saved as JPEG), voice memos (saved as M4A)
• Budget transactions — amounts, categories, dates
• Templates — custom auto-scheduling templates you create
• Public holidays — fetched from HolidayAPI and cached locally
• App preferences — Face ID toggle, notification settings, theme choice

Third-Party Services

HolidayAPI (holidayapi.com)

To display public holidays for your country, Scheflo makes a network request to HolidayAPI. This request includes your device's ISO country code (e.g. "US", "GB") derived from your iOS locale setting. It does not include your location, name, or any identifying information. Results are cached in SwiftData; subsequent launches use the cached data with no further network requests for the same country and year. Apple iCloud (Scheflo Pro only)

Pro subscribers may enable iCloud Sync in Settings. When enabled, your Scheflo data is synchronised via Apple's iCloud using CloudKit. Scheflo does not have access to your iCloud storage. Apple's privacy policy governs all iCloud data: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Apple App Store & In-App Purchases

Subscription purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit 2. Scheflo never receives or stores your payment information. Apple's privacy policy governs all purchase data: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Permissions We Request

• Camera / Photo Library — to attach photos to diary entries. Photos are saved locally and never uploaded to our servers.
• Microphone — to record voice notes in diary entries. Recordings are saved locally as M4A files.
• Face ID / Biometrics — to lock your diary. Biometric data is handled entirely by iOS; Scheflo never accesses it directly.
• Notifications — to deliver event reminders. Notification content is generated on-device.

Children's Privacy

Scheflo is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13 years of age. Since we collect no personal data from anyone, this policy applies universally.

Data Security

All data is stored using Apple's SwiftData framework in the App's sandboxed container. Voice notes and photos are stored in the App's Documents directory. Your device's built-in encryption (hardware-level, enabled when you use a passcode) protects all locally stored data. iCloud Sync data is encrypted by Apple in transit and at rest.

Your Rights

Because all your data lives on your device (and optionally in your personal iCloud), you have complete control:

• Access — all your data is viewable within the App at any time
• Delete — delete individual entries or all data by deleting the App
• Export — your files (voice memos, photos) are accessible via the iOS Files app
• Portability — use iTunes/Finder backup or iCloud Sync to transfer your data to a new device

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted at scheflo.app/privacy.html with a revised date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
